REGULATIONS

1. Goals and targets of FriendlyCup:

• Development and promotion of tennis in Azerbaijan

• Increase skill level of participants

• Supporting friendship relationships among participants

• Promotion of a healthy lifestyle

• Development of emotions control skills

• Strengthening health

• Winning is not the goal, the passion for the game is more important

2. Conditions for carrying out FriendlyCup

2.1 FriendlyCup consists of four teams – A,B,C and D, each group includes N player.

2.2 Each player must take necessary measures for holding 3 matches each stage and during a stage must hold matches between participants of the same group.

2.3 Monthly each player’s contribution is 20 AZN. Transfer money to card

2.4 In case of refusal to participate in tournament until its completion without valid reasons (the list of reasons will be specified) a player must pay penalty for amount of 0 AZN.

2.5 If an agreement about match was reached, one of the planned match participant, who is in charge, will inform administrator of FrendlyCup tournament about the date, place and names of participants through WhatsApp or by another way (email, call and so on).

2.6 Participants get all information from the website www.tennisfriends.az and through WhatsApp group.

2.7 Daily schedule of matches will be posted in WhatsApp group.

2.8 Participants of each group get contacts of rivals through website www.tennisfriends.az or WhatsApp and in will determine the time of matches in writing.

2.9 Games are held on any courts suitable for tennis playing.

2.10 If the participants of the scheduled games cannot agree on the court, then lots will be drawn and the winner will choose the venue. Outdoor courts can be selected only if the air temperature is +18 degrees.

2.11 When the scheduled game is cancelled, the canceling player must notify another player at least 2 hours before the game. Otherwise, the player, who cancels the match, will be possible considered a technical loser. Court fees will be charged to that player.

2.12 After every match a winner must send the exact score of the match to administrator of FrendlyCup tournament through WhatsApp or by alternative communication (email, call and so on).

2.13 If a participant refuses to participate in the game (for an important reason), and if the organizers cannot find anyone to replace him, then the team can replace that player with a player of the same or a relatively lower rating. However, the team that participated in the previous games cannot be repeated

2.14 If a controversial situation outside the regulations arises, then FriendlyCup's panel will issue a ruling and add that situation to the regulations.

2.15 The composition of the teams is determined by the organizers. Tournament participants cannot make any changes.

2.16 A You can send a message to FriendlyCup's WhatsApp for appeals or other tournament-related matters.

2.17 In cases where a player is unable to finish a match for any reason then:

• If more than 3 games are played in the match, then the player is considered to have lost

• If <=3 games are played in the match, then the match is postponed or a loss is counted at the opponent's choice

3.Scoring in FriendlyCup

3.1 Matches are held till two (2:0; 2:1) winning sets.

3.2 If the score will be 1:1, by mutual consent instead of 3rd set tie-breaker will be played.

3.3 The winner gets N points,(3 points - for a win in pairs, 2 points - for a win in singles, 1 point - for a loss, 0 points - for a technical defeat).

3.4 If participants can’t achieve an agreement, the game’s outcome will be determined by organizers.

3.5 Player, with the highest number of points become the winner of the group.

3.6 If the teams get the same number of points, the winner will be determined according to the following criteria:

1. Sets difference;

2. “Games” difference;

4. Format of the FriendlyCup Team:

Semi-final:

1.Team A vs Team D

1.Team B vs Team C

The 3rd-place-match:

Between the teams, which lost the semifinals

Final:

Between the teams, which won the semifinals

5. Awarding in FriendlyCup Team:

The 1st place – the winner of the final match

The 2nd place – the defeated of the final match

The 3rd place – the winner of the third-place-match

The 4th place – the defeated of the third-place-match
